Food processors: manuals, faults and maintenance

Your food processor is acting up, or you just need its manual? You're in the right place. Find your model's manual, understand where the fault comes from, fix it by following a tutorial, and pick up the habits that keep it from coming back.

Our sources: data.gouv.fr (parts & repairability), EPREL database (EU product sheets), RappelConso (safety recalls).

What would you like to do?

What's the problem?

Click your symptom: we tell you what's most often the cause and show you the video that explains the check. We never play the guessing game for you.

My food processor won't start — what should I check?
Check the plug, then the locking: the motor only runs when the bowl is locked onto the motor unit AND the lid is locked onto the bowl, in that order. A lid that isn't fully engaged is enough to block it. If it still won't start, contact an approved service centre.
Why does the bowl leak while running?
Three common causes: too much liquid for the bowl (the manual caps soups and thin batters at 0.5 L, for example), a damaged seal, or a part refitted incorrectly after washing. Reassemble bowl, drive shaft and lid, reduce the quantity, and replace the part if the seal is split.
Can I process hot food?
Let it cool to room temperature first: the manufacturer advises against hot ingredients, as heat can damage the seals. Don't use the accessories for cooking, freezing or in the microwave either.
The bowl and plastic accessories are stained (carrot, orange…)
Rub the stained areas with a cloth soaked in cooking oil, then wash as usual. Doing it right after use works best.
The power cord is damaged — can I still use it?
No. A damaged cord or plug must be replaced by an approved service centre before the appliance is used again.

Take care of your food processor

Five minutes here and there, and it will pay you back. Here are the habits that really matter.

  • Rinse the accessories straight awayAfter each use

A quick rinse right after use stops food drying onto the blades and cartridges. Unplug the appliance first. The accessories are dishwasher-safe; the motor unit never goes in water or under the tap — a damp sponge is enough.

  • Handle blades by their drive shaft

The knife and cartridges are very sharp. Lift the knife out by its drive shaft before emptying the bowl, and keep it in its storage drawer rather than loose: a dull or chipped blade chops worse and strains the motor.

  • Never run it empty

Running the processor without ingredients wears the drive for nothing. Stick to the maximum quantities and times in the manual too: beyond them, the motor overheats.

  • Store it somewhere dry

Dry the accessories thoroughly before putting them back in the drawer, and avoid damp cupboards.

Everything about food processor manuals and repair

Most of the faults that take a food processor out of service early can be fixed. You just need the right manual, the ability to read the symptom, and the compatible part: that is all here, for every listed model.

When something breaks, we point you to the most likely cause and the video that explains it, without ever diagnosing for you. And since prevention is better, a few regular maintenance habits are enough to space out the faults.

Where our data comes from: parts and repairability indices from the open data.gouv.fr dataset declared by manufacturers; product sheets from the European EPREL database; safety recalls from RappelConso. Tutorials from a closed list of vetted specialist channels.
